Oscar Wilde — “When I was young I thought money was the most important thing in life, now that I’m old – I know it is!”
Robert Graves — “There’s no money in poetry, but then there’s no poetry in money, either.”
Jane Austen —”A large income is the best recipe for happiness I ever heard of.”
William Shatner — “If saving money is wrong, I don’t want to be right.”
Euripides — “Money is the wise man’s religion.”
Anyone who says money is not important has probably always had more than enough.
Or doesn’t have any and never will, and wants to convince themselves they’re okay with that.
I remember a movie I used to watch a lot in the ’80s had a guy saying, “Baby, you look like a million dollars!” She replied, “Why are you always putting everything in terms of money?” He said, “Probably because I don’t have any.”
I don’t know why, but it almost made me giggle.
I love these quotes, especially the Oscar Wilde one.
I love quotes too. They are a great inspiration when you need a push in the right direction.
I love the one by Oscar Wilde. These are great. I’m a real sucker for quotes and used to enjoy surfing the web searching for quotes on life and success.
I like all the quotes on money and my favorite is that by William Shatner. I am inspired!
You need to read ‘ How to worry less about money by John Armstrong. He uses allot of quotes from Jane Austin throughout the book (borrow it from the library I’m sure the Auckland central library will have a copy)
