Wrath: 7 things that piss me off…
1. Slackers. People who don’t pull their weight annoy the hell out of me. It screams incompetence.
2. People who retell the same stories over and over. It’s funny, I have a terrible memory, but for some reason, not when it comes to hearing tales of drunkenness, travel, or whatever. I also despise retelling stories, myself. I much prefer telling them once, to everyone who needs to know, as opposed to multiple times for different groups.
3. Screwtop jars. They are always way too tight for my weak wrists to wrestle open.
4. People who can’t drink sensibly. Or who know their limits, but insist on exceeding them.
5. Hobags – gender neutral. I don’t care if you’re male or female, slutting around isn’t cool.
6. Slow internet. I live in New Zealand, sadly.
7. Being ripped off. Again, I live in New Zealand, so this happens frequently.
Day 1 – Pride. Seven great things about yourself.
Day 2 – Envy. Seven things you lack and covet.
Day 3 – Wrath. Seven things that piss you off.
Day 4 – Sloth. Seven things you neglect to do.
Day 5 – Greed. Seven worldly material desires.
Day 6 – Gluttony. Seven guilty pleasures.
Day 7 – Lust. Seven love secrets.
Haha – I love the randomness of screw-top jars, but I couldn’t agree more! I hate those suckers! Many-a-time have I been tempted to just smash the jar on the floor just so I could have a pickled bean/jam for my toast/sauce for my pasta.
Ugh, I have to say that I’ve been known to re-tell a story by accident, but I always hope that the person I’m talking to will tell me that I’ve already mentioned it and not let me ramble on like an idiot. Thankfully my husband usually cuts me off mid-sentence and lets me know straight away. (Coincidentally, he came over here from New Zealand to be with me. Another kiwi!)
I constantly re-tell stories. It’s awful.
But I agree wholeheartedly with the other ones!
For the screw tops, get a wide elastic and put that around the lid. It will usually give enough grip. Or if it’s the first time you’re opening a glass jar, bang the edge of the lid on the counter all around the jar and it will break the seal.
I really hate people who feel sorry for themselves and complain about their lives yet take no action to make their lives better. Complain complain, bitch bitch, but yet you sit on your butt and do nothing about it. It’s like nails on a chalkboard for me.
YES to the HO-BAGS! Really, they need to be quarantined somewhere, all those ho-bags. LOL.
What’s with the amount of rip offs here? I feel like I’m either constantly being ripped off or reading news stories about other people being ripped off. It’s so strange and I’ve developed this shield where I don’t trust ANYONE anymore. 🙁
I hate the screwtop jars too. I can never open them!
Er, I don’t mean ripped off as in being scammed. I just mean….GETTING RIPPED OFF! You know what I mean, you’ve lived somewhere where everything is cheaper, barring medical costs.
Yeah, I get that. It is definitely a rip off living here because everything is more expensive. I guess I was just thinking too much about the recent articles I read about people getting ripped off by construction on their houses and also about some shady post-earthquake stuff. But yeah. I got ya.
