RTW itinerary

We travelled around the world from May to November 2013. Here’s a rough outline of our route:

Curious about the financial side of a RTW trip? Here’s a little about setting a RTW budget (including how we pulled it off in cash)Β and our total RTW expenditure.Β Our travel style is budget comfortable – we’re frugal but not hardcore backpackers.

Or dive into more by each region (click through on each image):

Would I do it over again? In a heartbeat.

Would I do a second RTW trip? Yes, but probably a shorter one, and moving a lot slower.

Here are some of my favourite travel photographs, and my 10 top travel highlights.

I love this idea!! I have a constant case of wanderlust, and seeing your travel list here with the photos are really inspiring. Heading to Tokyo in a month!

Great idea for a bucket list! I think mind would be ridiculously long!
One is to “go to new zealand”! =)

I was only there for a stopover, but it seems way nicer than Australia (don’t tell the Aussies I said that!)

Wow, I love your travel bucket list. Do you mind if I steal it? There are too many US cities on here though. I would skip Vegas and go for Paris, London, Venice. πŸ˜‰

Add “hike the Milford Sound”? Or have you already done that.

NZ is so, so, SO beautiful!!!!!

That kind of falls under “south island road trip”, along with many many other things πŸ˜€

New Orleans is amazing to visit and eat drink amazing food. Seriously a central market muffaletta is fantastic. Las Vegas seems depressing to me but I do get the attraction to the bright lights. Berlin and Munich were fantastic. Southern Spain (Granada, Sevilla, Malaga) is gorgeous anytime of year (I lived there for a year of study). You might love Portugal, especially Lagos. Great Travel bucket list!

    Disfrute de la vida!

This is a great list! I’ve been to some of these places (Italy, France, Boston and others) and would dearly love to go to others (the Galapagos). I’ve just been to Niue and started my travel blog by writing a bit about it. All I can say is, it’s a must visit place, particularly if you love snorkelling. I recommend the Limu Pools.

Oooo! I want to go to all the places you mentioned and more!
